![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs The Miami Dolphins will have until 4:00 PM EST on Tuesday, August 26 to get to the 75 player limit. On Monday night, they announced that three players have been released. They are offensive tackle Steven Baker, safety Demetrius Wright and the team waived/injured kicker John Potter. Baker and Wright never had a real chance to make the team and were likely nothing more than camp bodies, which is normal for NFL teams this time of the year. Potter suffered a tough break as he was on track to make the team as long as Caleb Sturgis was sidelined. Now, with an untimely injury, he is out of work once again. The Dolphins will have to make quite a few more cuts before 4:00 PM EST but I don't anticipate there being any surprise cuts in this round. The Dolphins will then have to get to 53 players on August 30. |
