On the official injury report released by the Dolphins on Wednesday, Mike Pouncey was listed as limited in practice. In simpler and more familiar terms, this would be the equivalent of being listed as questionable on an injury report for the game. As we mentioned yesterday, Joe Philbin is cautiously optimistic about Pouncey’s chances of playing but admitted that the team is taking it one day at a time.
“Nobody steps onto the field until they are medically cleared, either on (the practice) field or the game field. We’ll take it one day at a time," Philbin said.
If Pouncey can’t go on Sunday, Samson Satele will continue to start, where he has done a solid job. Ryan Tannehill echoed that sentiment and said he has no problems with Satele.
“Mike (Pouncey) is obviously a good player and a guy that we want to have out there. I feel like Samson is doing a good job. He’s making the right points, he’s doing a good job blocking up front. I’m happy with what Samson is doing right now.”
For the other players, Terrence Fede, Koa Misi, Knowshon Moreno and Shelley Smith were listed as not participating in practice. Branden Albert, Charles Clay, Louis Delmas, Jelani Jenkins, Jordan Tripp, Billy Turner and Philip Wheeler were listed as limited. Walt Aikens, Brian Hartline and Randy Starks were listed as full participants.
For the Kansas City Chiefs, Eric Berry and Jamaal Charles did not participate. Tamba Hali and De'Anthony Thomas were listed as limited. Husain Abdullah, Dwayne Bowe, Cyrus Gray, Frankie Hammond, Junior Hemingway, Eric Kush, Josh Martin and Albert Wilson were listed as full participants.
