![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs The decision to run out the clock in the first half on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills has been well documented so we don’t need to re-hash everything. For that information, please scroll down for further details and to also see what Joe Philbin had to say. However, we haven’t heard offensive coordinator Bill Lazor’s thoughts on the matter. While it sounds like he wasn’t happy with the decision at the time, he did say it made sense after looking at it again. “It has nothing to do with my wishes. I thought what Coach (Joe) Philbin decided to do worked because, when you think about it, we had our struggles in the first half. He decided to run the football. We went in at halftime. We talked. I think we got settled down in some ways. We made a couple of adjustments, not that many, and we came out and had two straight scoring drives. I felt like knowing that we were getting the ball to begin the second half, I thought he did a great job with his decisions.” Who knows what would’ve happened had the Dolphins tried to score before the half was over so now, we can only second-guess and wonder what could’ve been in a close game filled with lots of intensity and emotion.
