![]() Written by Luis Sung | Twitter: @FLSportDebater Cuts are coming in fast as now Jordan Kovacs, David Arkin, Kevin Cone and Matt Hazel have all found themselves being released by the Miami Dolphins. Kovacs is a good special teams contributor and can still be developed to be a viable backup, he may find himself on the practice squad as the secondary doesn't have that many players available at this point in time. Arkin is a guard who did ok, but he never showed any real potential to be anything special, so he became expendable as there's depth on the offensive line in more familiar players such as Sam Brenner, whose fate is also undetermined. Wide Receiver Kevin Cone was signed from the Atlanta Falcons early in the offseason and made a case later in training camp that he should be considered for a roster spot, even surviving the first round of cuts over surprise release Armon Binns, but with the amazing talent at the wide receiver position, Cone just couldn't pull off a miracle. As expected, wide receiver Matt Hazel has also been cut from the team, but the Dolphins want to keep him around so they're hoping that the sixth-round draft pick will survive the waiver wire and be signed onto the practice squad. Linebacker Andrew Wilson has been cut as well, and in my opinion he's a practice squad worthy player. He did well on special teams and always seemed to be around to help make a tackle. The Dolphins are quickly purging their roster to meet the deadline later this afternoon, there are more bubble players out there and who knows who will be cut next? Keep an eye on all the latest news here.
