![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, the NFL and NFLPA are set to announce the league’s new drug testing policy later today. Abramson quoted a source from CBS Sports in regards to the announcement. While there have been questions in regards to whether Dion Jordan and Reshad Jones would be reinstated, it is expected that their suspensions will in fact be reversed and they will be allowed to re-join the team immediately. The Dolphins would then have to release two players. If the Dolphins get them back today, it's good news because both Joe Philbin and Kevin Coyle are big believers in players practicing leading up to the game. Coyle addressed this on Monday. "Unless we know that they’re practicing, we can’t waste practice time on what ifs. We have to go out there and get guys ready to play. When guys haven’t been practicing, generally they don’t play very good when they first come back. I give a lot of credit to Randy Starks last week because he had limited practice and yet he performed very well in the game. My experience is most times when guys don’t practice a lot during the week, even veteran players, they don’t play up to their standards.” Having Jordan and Jones back on the practice field this week would lead them to playing on Sunday, which would be a huge benefit for the Dolphins.
