![]() Written by Matthew Cannata Bucky Brooks, NFL Media Analyst for NFL.com, recently released his position rankings throughout the NFL. Brooks, who was a former scout for the Seattle Seahawks under Mike Holmgren, put two Dolphins players in the top ten at their positions. Cornerback Brent Grimes came in as the sixth ranked cornerback and left tackle Branden Albert came in as the ninth ranked blind-side protector. Brooks called Albert a nimble, big-bodied blocker with the balance, body control and agility to handle speedy edge rushers. In addition, he said that Albert displays the strength to anchor against rugged foes executing bull rushes or other power maneuvers. Ranked ahead of Albert was Matt Kalil, Duane Brown, Ryan Clady, Tyron Smith, Joe Staley, Trent Williams, Jason Peters and Joe Thomas. As for Grimes, who was ranked sixth amongst NFL cornerbacks, Brooks said that he displays tremendous athleticism and skill as a cover corner. He added that he excels at winning 50-50 balls down the field with his superb leaping skills, allowing him to compete against big-bodied pass catchers. Ranked ahead of Grimes was Aqib Talib, Joe Haden, Darrelle Revis, Patrick Peterson and Richard Sherman. Albert and Grimes will be a huge part of the team in 2014 and we can only hope that they put up the same type of statistics that they did last year. It will also be interesting to see what players take the next step and establish themselves at the top of their position in the NFL
