If there's any player on the Miami Dolphins who has earned the right to be called a superstar, it is defensive end Cameron Wake. Ever since joining the team in 2009, Wake has terrorized quarterbacks everywhere and he became the name that people associate with the Miami Dolphins.
In Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, Wake made an amazing play that had every Dolphins fan who saw it cheering at the top of their lungs. Wake strip-sacked the Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and even managed to recover the ball after it fell out of Cutler's hands.
"That was obviously a fun play to watch early Monday morning when you come in and watch it on the plane last night." said defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle. "He plays every snap hard and so he creates opportunities for himself that a lot of players sometimes don’t because they don’t have that same type of motor. He’s obviously got a lot of physical skill to go with attitude. And when you put it all together, you get plays like that. It was fun to see.”
Wake's ability to make plays has never been a question mark for the team, and they are fortunate to have one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL playing for them. His effort and hard work has translated into great success, and it stands to reason that it will continue to do so in the future.
"When you keep playing hard, you create opportunities for yourself." Coyle said. "He’s the type of guy who takes advantage of them and good things happen.”
