![]() Written by Luis Sung | Twitter: @FLSportDebater It's no secret that many members of the Miami Dolphins fanbase don't exactly have a very positive opinion of head coach Joe Philbin, some even having a list of his deficiencies so long that if one were to write them all down on paper it would probably reach from one end of a football field to the other. But there's something to be said when an icon of the team comes out and says that Philbin is making a bunch of positive changes in the organization, it becomes a topic that should be thought about twice. NFL Network's Steve Wyche asked Pro Bowl defensive end - and Dolphins icon - Cameron Wake how Philbin is viewed by the players. Wake spoke about how ever since Philbin arrived in Miami and then all of the changes began, there's been a positive vibe in the organization, and the players have really responded to that. "So many changes and just the positive vibe, and I think all the players relate to that and they can see that - they know that he'll do whatever it takes to make us better - whatever he thinks he can do to give us an advantage on game day, he'll do it and that makes you go out there and work hard." Once again a player comes out in defense of his much maligned head coach, this time it's the man who is considered by a significant portion of the fanbase as the face of the Dolphins franchise. Even if the fans or media don't think Philbin is worthy of his position, it's becoming increasingly clear that the actual players on the team think otherwise, and in the end that's all that matters.
