![]() Written by Matthew Cannata ESPN Insider recently looked at the top ten offensive nightmare matchups in the NFL. The article was compiled largely off of suggestions from NFL sources around the league and Miami Dolphins tight end Charles Clay was named one of them, coming at number ten. Clay, who isn’t your prototypical tall and physical tight end, causes headaches in many other ways because of his versatility. Weighing in at 260 pounds, he can play on the line, in the slot and even in the backfield as a short-yardage ball carrier or lead blocker. As we all know, Clay has tremendous hands and once he gets the ball, he has no problem running over defenders as many found out the hard way last year. ESPN stated that Clay was the most surprising response they got from NFL contacts but as Dolphins fans, we know how much damage he can do on the field. With another year under his belt and in a new offense, here’s hoping that Clay has an even bigger year in 2014.
