Chris Mortensen of ESPN has confirmed on Twitter that Ndamukong Suh will sign with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday. The contract will be for approximately $114 million with $60 million guaranteed. Earlier this morning, I reported that Suh to the Dolphins was a done deal.
The contract will be six years and he will get $60 million dollars of it in the first three years. As I have been reporting, it came down to the Detroit Lions and Dolphins. The Lions did not want to match the deal. Miami was Suh's first choice all along and it was also the first choice of his marketing agency, RocNation.
The report by Mortensen is as credible as it gets. Jimmy Sexton, who represents Suh's football interests, also represents Mortensen. I have reported all week that Sexton was controlling the ESPN insiders and this appears to be the case. The negotiations were high stakes and no one could risk losing out on anything.
More information will be available as it comes out.
