![]() Compiled by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs What else are Joe Philbin and Daryn Colledge saying in regards to the Miami Dolphins and other individual players? Here are some quotes that didn't make it into our stories today. Joe Philbin on if the team has been allowed to have contact with DE Dion Jordan during his suspension: “We’ve been allowed to have some (contact), and he’s doing well.” Joe Philbin on how the defensive line and the injuries: “I thought overall the game last week we didn’t have Randy (Starks). We obviously had him in the first three games. I thought our team rallied around well. The big thing when you are down a player of Randy’s caliber, I think the helpful thing in Oakland was we got off the field a certain times on third down and didn’t have to play just an over-abundance of reps. I think the thing that can be problematic is if you are on the field 80 plays or 90 plays on a defense and you are missing some of your guys, that can be a little more challenging. I thought our guys responded well.” Joe Philbin in regards to off-field behavior: “Respect. Respect everybody, every road trip we take. We are ambassadors for the Miami Dolphins (and) the National Football League. Treat people the right way. It’s really as simple as that. We go on the road, we want the bus drivers to think, the stewardesses to think, the people at the field to think this is a class organization and guys do things the right way. Show respect to everybody. It’s a simple message.” Joe Philbin on Shelley Smith: “He got out there today and got the most reps he’s gotten in a while. Typically, sometimes when a guy is coming back, it’s the next day or the day after, is he sore? What’s he like? How much can we progress him even further the next day? That would be the key, so we really don’t know that yet.” Daryn Colledge on Knowshon Moreno being at practice: “Same thing, that’s a guy who’s just excited to get on the field. Everybody saw what Knowshon can do, we’re excited about what he brings this team. He’s another guy that felt like he was doing some good things and got himself hurt and that sucks, but it’s part of football. Luckily his replacements have stepped up and played well and now he’s got to fight to get back in the lineup.” Comments are closed.
