Let me start by saying this, I love Coach Flores and I would run into a building on fire for the man.
 
The good:

• Second half adjustments. Not only was the play calling much better on Offense and Defense but the urgency and attitude was much better as well. I’m not sure what Coach Flores said but it worked for sure.
• Tua. Finishing the game with 26/39 for 296 yards and 1 TD is good. But he had a long pass to Grant dropped and the play calling in the 1st half really hampered him but it was great to see him come out and take command in the second half deliver accurate strikes between the 20’s and keep the game under control.
• Coach Flores. When was the last time you saw a Dolphins coach rush the opponent’s bench to stand up for his guys? I had never seen it, and to watch this team come and defend their brother, was amazing. The culture is changing for sure and Coach Flores deserves all the accolades.
  

The bad:

• Play calling in the 1st half. There was a massive difference between the calls in the 1st half and those in the 2nd, not only on offense but on defense as well. We’ve said it before, this team is much better when it is aggressive and that showed again in this game.
• Penalties. I am not talking about the ejections, I am talking about play penalties and today the Dolphins looked sloppy, particularly in the 1st half. The 8 total penalties were a season high and something that needs to be fixed.
• Injuries and possible suspension. I have a feeling DVP could be suspended for (rightfully) standing up for Jakeem, but Elandon Roberts was on a sling in the 2nd half, Flowers missed the rest of the game after leaving with an injury and the Dolphins depth could be tested in the upcoming game against the mammoth that are the Chiefs.

 
The ugly:

• Not on the Dolphins, but it is always disgusting to watch cheap shots being thrown out and the Bengals made a living doing that today.

 
Another Raiders loss that helps the Dolphins and a good, enjoyable game that the Dolphins won. 3 ejections and only 1 3rd down conversion made it harder than it should have but the Defense was able to get 2 takeaways and 6 sacks. This defense is for real and if the Dolphins offense manages to play at the level they did in the 3rd quarter this team could make some real noise in December.
