Earlier this week, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots signed former Dolphins players Don Jones and Marcus Thigpen to their practice squad. Many are assuming that this is an effort to gather information about the Dolphins. While it could be also the fact that Belichick just likes these two players, the Dolphins decided to play a game of their own when they claimed defensive lineman Bruce Gaston off waivers, who was released by the Patriots on Wednesday. To make room for him, they cut Brandian Ross, who they signed earlier this week.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Dolphins will keep Gaston on the roster after this week or if they will continue to church that roster spot throughout the season.
