The Miami Dolphins put defensive tackle Tyeler Davison through a private workout following his pro day at Fresno State. This news comes courtesy of Simon Clancy, Deputy Editor of BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
According to Jeff Hyde (Twitter: @Jeff__Hyde), an analyst for the PhinManiacs Draft Guide, Davison doesn’t do anything great, but he is solid in all areas of his game. Davison has a big body that will demand double teams at times, is tout against the run, does a great job of holding his ground in blocks and won’t let the ball carrier by his gap without getting his long arms on him. His weaknesses include losing track of the ball, his need to improve his footwork along with lateral agility, and the need to develop overall strength.
Davison is projected to be selected in the early part of the third day of the NFL Draft. The ideal draft round for Davison, according to Hyde, is the late fourth or early fifth.
