![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs While the first team offense looked spectacular on Friday, the first team defense, along with the second and third team, looked very suspect and have a lot of work to do heading into next week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There were some bright spots, such as Will Davis who broke up a handful of passes, Anthony Johnson who made several disruptive plays and Terrence Fede, who played well throughout the majority of the game. “It felt like they were coming at me every time I was out there,” Davis said. “It was kind of crazy. That’s what you want, especially in the preseason. You want the opportunity to make plays and come in here and get action.” However, for the few positives, there were many more negatives. More specifically, the number of missed tackles was more than anyone can count on two hands. While that can somewhat be expected in the first preseason game, it's something that obviously needs to be cleaned up. “Just one thing that we need to work on, especially myself, is tackling right now,” linebacker Koa Misi said. “That’s something I’m going to concentrate on doing better. We definitely found out what we need to work on this week.”
