Before Friday, Turner was one of four 2014 rookies left to sign with their teams. Turner was the Dolphins 3rd round pick and 67th overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft. The 4 year deal is worth roughly $3.1 million with a signing bonus of $700,000. Turner will be competing this year for an opportunity to start at guard for the Dolphins despite playing left tackle at FCS powerhouse North Dakota St. During his time at NDSU, Turner started 56 games for the Bison, racking up 2 FCS All-American awards to go along with 3 FCS National Championships and numerous other awards. Described as a "Mauler", Turner will be looking to prove he's worth the money next week when the Dolphins begin training camp.
