The Miami Dolphins have now officially signed all of their 2014 Draft picks. Today, the Dolphins announced the signing of OL Billy Turner. Before Friday, Turner was one of four 2014 rookies left to sign with their teams. Turner was the Dolphins 3rd round pick and 67th overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 4 year deal is worth roughly $3.1 million with a signing bonus of $700,000.
Turner will be competing this year for an opportunity to start at guard for the Dolphins despite playing left tackle at FCS powerhouse North Dakota St. During his time at NDSU, Turner started 56 games for the Bison, racking up 2 FCS All-American awards to go along with 3 FCS National Championships and numerous other awards.
Athletic and big, Turner (6'6, 315 lbs) has the skill set to be a key addition to the Dolphins offensive line from day one. Described as a "Mauler", Turner will be looking to prove he's worth the money next week when the Dolphins begin training camp.
