![]() Miami Dolphins Press Release The Miami Dolphins have signed kicker John Potter and waived kicker Danny Hrapmann, the team announced. The 6-1, 219-pound Potter joins the Dolphins from the Detroit Lions where he spent a portion of the 2014 off-season prior to being released on May 12, 2014. He has appeared in nine career games with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins and has made three of the four field goals he attempted and all seven point after tries. Potter originally entered the NFL as a seventh round pick (251st overall) of the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was released by the Bills on November 6, 2012. He signed with the Washington Redskins on June 12, 2013 and was released on August 26, 2013. He re-signed with the Redskins on September 14, 2013 and was released October 1, 2013. He signed with the Lions on December 31, 2013. A four-year letter winner and academic All-America at Western Michigan, Potter appeared in 50 games for the Broncos connecting on 47 of 65 field goals and 184 of 188 point after attempts. Born January 24, 1990 in Kalamazoo, Mich., Potter attended Grand Haven High School in Grand Haven, Mich.
