When free agent center Samson Satele was signed by the Dolphins the other day, some thought he would come in and compete with Nate Garner for the starting center position. While he still might do so, it appears that he has already been penciled in as the starter and it will be his job to lose.
That's why the Dolphins are going to do everything in their power to get him ready for Friday's pre-season game against the Atlanta Falcons. Chris Perkins of the Sun-Sentinel reports that while Garner may get some snaps with the first team this morning at practice, Satele will see quite a bit of time there in order to start accelerate his adjustment period.
Satele wasn't very good in 2013 but in a new scheme, new coaches and a new, but familiar environment, he may be able to thrive and have a bounce back year.
