One of the many knocks on former offensive coordinator Mike Sherman was the fact that his offense was too unbalanced during games, often abandoning the run early in the game and passing way too much.
Now, with new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor in town, the offense is expected to be much more balanced than last year. Head coach Joe Philbin said that he hopes an effective running game will be able to create more opportunities for big plays in the passing game. Philbin said the he expects it to be 60-40 pass/run ratio during games in 2014.
