When Dennis Hickey came aboard as General Manager of the Miami Dolphins organization, he came with a keen eye for talent because of his past scouting background. In Hickey’s first draft with the organization he selected 8 players, 5 of which were small school players who were essentially unheard of.
In particular, Terrence Fede, standing at 6 foot 5 inches and weighing in at nearly 270 pounds, caught the eyes and ears of most Dolphin fans. Many were confused that Hickey selected another pass rusher when the Dolphins desperately needed depth at every offensive line position. On top of that, just about every die hard Dolphin fan had no idea who this guy was or even where his college was at.
