The Dolphins hold a 56-54 record against New England in the all-time series (including playoffs). Miami and New England have split the season series in 6 of the last 7 seasons. Currently, they have split 3 years in a row. Miami lost to NE Week 1.

  • Interestingly enough, the Miami Dolphins have 28 sacks this season from their defense. Tied for 16th in the league...with New England.

  • In 11.75 2020 games, TE Mike Gesicki ranks 4th among NFL TEs with 602 receiving yards. He is just 190 yards away from the Dolphins single-season TE receiving record of 791 yards by @randymac81 in 2004. Gesicki needs 63 yards a game to hit. He averages 50.1. (Injury TBD)

  • 1st rd. pick Austin Jackson, 2nd rd. pick Robert Hunt & 4th rd. pick Solomon Kindley have combined to start 29 games this season for an offensive line that has allowed 28 sacks, tied for the 15th in the league. Middle of the pack. Not dead-last. Rome wasn't built in a season.

  • Xavien Howard's 9 INTs this season are the 2nd most in Miami Dolphins history & 1 away from the team record of 10, set by CB Dick Westmoreland in 1967. No NFL player has had more than 9 INTs in a season since CB Antonio Cromartie had 10 in 2007.

  • The Dolphins defense is 2nd in the NFL in scoring D, allowing 18.8 points per game. MIA ranks in the top half of the league with 34 sacks, tied for 11th in the NFL. The unit has 25 takeaways, tied for the most in the NFL.

  • The value of drafting, and spectacular start of Christian Wilkins career. Aside from leadership. He has 95 total tackles. The NFL sophomore needs 23 tackles to reach 118, which would be the most tackles in the 1st 2 years of an NFL defensive tackle's career since at least 2010.

  • Emmanuel Ogbah needs 3.0 sacks to move into the top 20 in a single season in team history. He has 8.0 sacks this season and this team has had seasons of production from Jason Taylor, Adewale Ogunleye, Cameron Wake, Doug Betters, Trace Armstrong and Joey Porter. Good Company.

  • Xavien Howard has 17 passes defensed this season. He needs 5 to surpass Patrick Surtain for the most passes defensed by a Dolphin this century. Surtain had 21 in 2000. Howard has vaulted himself into the Top of the Franchises CB ladder. Best season ever by a MIA DB, arguably.

  • Ted Karras plays his 74th career game against the New England Patriots, his former team. in 1974 Ted's uncle, Alex Karras, a former football player appeared in the comedic masterpiece, Blazing Saddles. Sometimes, numbers are magical.

  • 3 Miami Defenders have recorded at least a sack, a tackle for loss, a pass defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery so far this season They are: Kyle Van Noy Shaq Lawson Andrew Van Ginkel.

  • The Miami Dolphins all-time record holder for receptions against the Patriots is.......... wait for it. (Crash noise) Jim Jensen. "Crash" caught 12 footballs at New England in 1988.

  • On the season, the Dolphins have significantly outscored their opponents in all quarters, other than the 3rd, where they are being outscored 36-61. 1st Q- 97-48 2nd Q - 105-78 3rd Q - 36-61 4th Q - 92-58 TOTAL: 330-245.

  • Jason Sanders is 8/8 on FGs 50+ yards or longer this season.

  • Wil Lutz and Jason Sanders are the only kickers in the NFL, who play weekly, to not have missed a PAT this season. That's it. That's the list.

  • We are 13 games into the season, and the Miami Dolphins defense has yet to allow a RUNNING BACK to gain 100+ yards on them in a game. Kyler Murray - you got the 100+....MIA got the win.
