![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Ja’Wuan James goes up against one of the best defensive lines in the NFL and more specifically, he goest up against Cameron Wake, one of the top three pass rushers in the NFL, if not the best. Doing this every day has given him an advantage that he will be able to carry over with him in regular season games. “It’s been rough, but it’s been great at the same time because I talk to Cam (Wake) before every game when we’re going against each other in pregame and then after every game,” said James. “I always tell him ‘Nobody is going to be like you out there’. I go out there and I play, and I’m like ‘wow, those reps at practice (against Wake) make the game a lot more slower, it slows it down and makes it a lot better. It definitely helps going against guys like Olivier Vernon, Cam, Dion (Jordan), and all of them.” The more that James can learn from Wake, Vernon and others, the better off he’ll be. Through two pre-season games, he looks like he’s on the right track.
