![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Today, the Miami Dolphins held a light two-hour practice with no 11-on-11 or 7-on-7 drills. Instead, the theme throughout the two hours were individual drills focused on making each player better in specific areas. The practice began with positional drills where the quarterbacks threw individual routes to running backs on air. Then, the linebackers were brought in to defend. The team repeated the drill with wide receivers against defensive backs and tight ends against the inside linebackers. In terms of injuries, quarterbacks Matt Moore and Pat Devlin returned to practice without limitation today after not playing in the team’s first preseason game. Defensive tackle A.J. Francis suffered a knee injury during Friday’s game against Atlanta and will miss several practices. Other players that were held out of today’s practice included running backs Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams, along with tight end Gator Hoskins. Tight ends Arthur Lynch and Michael Egnew returned to practice today, as well as defensive end Olivier Vernon and kicker Caleb Sturgis. Cortland Finnegan was not at practice due to the passing of his grandmother. The Dolphins will be back on the practice field tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM.
