The Miami Dolphins will host the New York Giants on Monday Night Football on December 14. Before the game starts though, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham, former teammates at LSU, will put on a receiving show during warm-ups.
“Last year you look at Beckham and Landry, the two teammates from LSU and what beasts they are,” Alex Marvez recently said on the Marc Hochman Show. “By the way, little note on those guys and I talked to Jarvis Landry about this. He said that before the Dolphins play the Giants on Monday Night Football in December that he and Odell Beckham are putting on some type of receiving show during pregame warmups. Each will try to one-up the other. They’ve been talking about trying to do something really special, really cool, without hurting themselves obviously.”
While Landry has made his share of spectacular catches, it has been Beckham who has received the most praise and attention. This is primarily because his most amazing catch was on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014. The photo of the catch was thrown around the internet for days and weeks and people still talk about it.
The Dolphins, as well as Landry, have done many things to show the world that he can make incredible catches too. Just recently, they posted a spectacular one-handed catch from Landry during an OTA session. Landry has posted videos of himself standing feet away from a JUGS machine while catching the ball with one hand, with and without gloves.
It should be a fun activity to watch before the game begins and will be a special treat for those in attendance and get there early enough to see it. You can also be sure that ESPN will have their cameras rolling and will show pieces of it to the national audience tuning in for the game.
