![]() Written by Matthew Cannata After the most recent scrimmage game on the last day of minicamp, wide receiver Jarvis Landry spoke about adjusting to the NFL and being out on the practice field. Mainly, he’s excited to be in this type of atmosphere and it feels good for him just to have the ball flying around and making plays. Landry spoke about the importance of staying in shape during the time off between the end of minicamp and training camp and the importance of improving every day. Landry said he didn’t have any plans to take a vacation and said he would be at the facility every day with quarterback Ryan Tannehill going over film and through workouts with each other. One veteran that has really taken Landry and others under his wing is wide receiver Brandon Gibson. Landry said he’s appreciative of it and Gibson has shown them how to be true professionals. While Landry doesn’t have the prototypical size for a wide receiver, he plays much bigger than he actually is, much like cornerback Brent Grimes. He has amazing hands and isn’t afraid to cross the middle of the field. Landry is talking the part like a good football player – now let’s hope it translates to the field when the real games start happening.
