![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Miami Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jarvis Landry had a great game against the Green Bay Packers, racking up 75 yards on 6 receptions, including 1 touchdown catch. Landry got the start as the third wide receiver after Brandon Gibson couldn’t suit up due to an injury and he certainly made his presence known to fans, media and most importantly, the coaching staff. “The guy is a football player,” Joe Philbin said. “I thought he got out there, competed hard. I thought his play-speed was very good. I thought he played fast. I thought he made some plays. The plays were there, he made and he competed. I thought he did a good job.” Bill Lazor echoed Philbin’s sentiments and said that Landry has a bright future ahead of him in the NFL. “I think Jarvis plays at a high speed all the time. He’s always playing fast. He’s done a great job getting open on one-on-one coverage. What you can’t underestimate is, when he had a chance to make a play on the ball in the end zone, he went up and made the play. I think the future is bright for Jarvis. I expect him to keep getting better.” We’ll see if the coaches keep him in that spot even when Gibson returns from his injury. To everyone watching at home and in the stadium, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t. Comments are closed.
