![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs During training camp, Miami Dolphins legend Jason Taylor was at one of the practices coaching the defensive line and other parts of the defense. Many rumors began to swirl around that Taylor would be making a splash into the NFL once again but this time, as a full-time coach with the Miami Dolphins. However, Taylor shot down that rumor last week while speaking at a special event that was coordinated and run by the Miami Dolphins organization. "No, I'm not going to be a coach. The hours are too long with too little play," he said. "I came in for a meeting an hour before practice that one time and then hit the practice field. I'd rather be watching the games from somewhere where there's air conditioning." When asked about his thoughts on this year's team, he had high praise for the defensive line but also said the offensive line needs to step up and improve from last year. "The defensive line should be the heartbeat of this team. In fact, you really want the offensive and defensive line to be the strength of your team and this year should be no different. Last year was tough for the offensive line and it showed in the team's play on the field. They need to improve and be better. On the defensive line, there's a whole bunch of nasty guys on the defensive line who can get out there and play." While many believe that Taylor would be a great coach, it appears that he is content with his current lifestyle with no plans in the foreseeable future to become a coach in the National Football League.
