![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Despite the fact that Ja’Wuan James has only played in two regular season games compared to the 87 that Branden Albert has played in since 2008, James is already being compared to Albert by various members of the media and also by head coach Joe Philbin. “They are both smart guys. They are both intelligent. They seem to pick up things real quick out on the football field. I am very rarely surprised. They are both good athletes and very competitive guys.” When Philbin was asked if he sees any differences between the two, he said that there wasn’t much that he could see that would make them much different from a football perspective. “Everybody is different. From a football perspective, I don’t know that there are a ton of differences, obviously experience being one of them in the National Football League. They are both good people and come to work every day with a good attitude. They are good guys to work with every day.” According to Pro Football Focus, Braden Albert is the best offensive tackle in the NFL with an overall grade of 6.6. Ja’Wuan James is the fifth best offensive tackle in the NFL with an overall grade of 4.1. We’ll see if James can continue to dominate through a long NFL season but even more so once teams get more tape on him and see what his tendencies are. It’s all about adjusting but so far, James has proven he can play with the big boys in the NFL.
