![]() Written by Matthew Cannata It's not surprising that all-pro defensive end Cameron Wake has been dominating rookie Ja'Wuan James the first three days of practice. Each day, Wake has recorded at least one sack against James and that streak looks like it should continue. However, James isn't backing down and loves the fact that he gets to go against Wake every day. “I love it because I’m a competitor. He’s a great player and he’s going to get me better, as long as I keep going as hard as I can against him, these constant reps we have, it’s going to get me ready for what I’m going to see in the season," James said. "After practice he’ll be like, ‘Hey, I’ve got your hands up here, you need to do this here.’ Or I’ll ask him something. But he does a good job of schooling me, trying to teach me the right thing, but when it’s in between the lines we’re going at it." The fact that James is getting beat each day should not be surprising or concerning. James will be much better off because of it once the season starts in September after going up against one of the best defensive ends in the league each and every day.
