Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is an intriguing prospect, as he has the build of an untraditional Linebacker who can be a third safety on the field playing as a box defender. Koramoah is undersized as a defender, but we know undersized LB's can play and routinely shock the NFL; he can do it too.
Jeremiah is an extremely athletic and versatile linebacker prospect with good instincts and great mental processing. At Notre Dame, he played all over the field, making him versatile for any defense, whether it be MIKE, off-ball LB, Edge or a cover safety with his background as a defensive back.
His versatility makes him dangerous in zone and man coverage, as he can easily cover tight ends and running backs out of the back field. He also can cover as well as receivers out of the slot; his hips are smooth, and he can change on a dime – he’s easily able to flip and run pass catchers down the field.
He'll have a tough time taking on and shedding blocks on the interior, specifically in the run game against lineman and bigger tight ends. Known as JOK, his tackling will need to get better as he leans in with pads instead of hands to wrap up the runner.
