![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs On the last drive of the game, the Miami Dolphins had plenty of opportunities to put the game away but failed to do so. Joe Philbin explains what they could’ve done differently, beginning with getting more containment on Aaron Rodgers. “He’s a good football player. He made plays sometimes. Sometimes we didn’t contain very well. I thought we lost containment, a very basic, fundamental principle with the pass rush. He took advantage of that a number of different times.” With the clock ticking down and the Packers rushing to the line, many thought that Rodgers was going to kill the clock but instead, he faked it and threw it towards the sideline for a completion. Philbin said that on that play, the tackling could’ve been better and said that he thought they were in a position to tackle better. Finally, on the game-winning touchdown, Philbin tipped his hat to Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the offense for executing and making it happen. “It was a good play. Again, give them credit. You have to credit your opponent. When they make a good play, they make a good play. Give them credit.” This game will be second-guessed for a long time to come and could even come into play if the Dolphins turn things around but end up just missing the playoffs. There’s a long way to go so we’ll see what happens from here. Comments are closed.
