![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs It seemed as if nothing could go right for the Dolphins after they blocked the first punt of the game and then followed it up with a touchdown. After that though, Mike Wallace fumbled, Ryan Tannehill threw and interception and then Lamar Miller fumbled. It seemed like the perfect recipe for a loss....until the team made some great second half adjustments. "We met as an offensive staff and I said we need to do a better job of holding onto the ball," Philbin said. "We missed some plays on the ball and when they present, we need to take advantage." "I liked the way they kept their poise and composure. We knew it was going to be a 60-minute game against this well coached team. We were down by ten at half and we talked about making it a one possession game and then we talked about taking it from there. Once it got to one possession, our defense made a stop and we kept it going from there." Did Philbin think that today's win will go a long way towards determining the Dolphins' success this season? He wouldn't go that far at this time. "I wouldn't call it as statement game. It's the first game. It's the first step in a long journey. It's great to win. They've been working hard and have invested a lot in this one particular game. We're delighted we won the game but there's a lot of football games left. This is the best game of 2014 for sure"
