![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs The Miami Dolphins were embarrassed on their home field, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 34-15. This game was important for many reasons but none more so than the opportunity to establish themselves as a team that’s for real this season. Instead, the NFL and the rest of the nation saw a team that had no energy, no spark, poor fundamentals and poor play-calling. Head Coach Joe Philbin took the podium after the game and gave his usual answers but also admitted he wasn’t quite yet sure how they would fix things. “I thought Kansas City clearly deserved to win the game. I told the team it was a team loss in every respect; no one phase played well enough to win, and they certainly deserved to win the game. We’ll have to look at everything we’re doing. We’ll look at how we’re calling things, we’ll look at practice, we’ll look at anything. We have to start better. It’s not a good formula to be down on average ten points over three weeks. It’s not a good way to play.” Philbin will need to find answers quickly before the season starts to spiral out of control. They will travel to London and face the Raiders next Sunday and it certainly isn’t going to be an easy game to win.
