![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Jordan Tripp was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and now, he has a chance to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff over the next two weeks. If he does, he has a very good chance to play during the regular season quite a bit in different packages. "I thought he flashed some good things in the first couple of games," Philbin said. "He’s very smart, very hard working and diligent. I think it’s going to be an important two-week stretch for him to answer that question.” “It’s fantastic when you get to be with the guys who have done it and some guys who been to the Pro Bowl, it helps you to play faster,” Tripp said of getting a few first-team reps. “I feel like I play faster out there with them, and it’s only going to make me better.” If Tripp can prove he can be consistent on a daily basis, he has the chance to be one of the biggest steals of this year's draft. Furthermore, he can continue to work his way into a starting role to send either Philip Wheeler or Dannell Ellerbe to the bench, which many Dolphins fans would be happy to see.
