Knowshon Moreno improving but Philbin says he needs to block

While Knowshon Moreno may be making progress towards returning to the field and while media reports have said that he looks good running the football, Joe Philbin says that no matter how well he runs and no matter how good he looks, he still needs to be healthy enough to block. 

"At the end of the day you have to block," Philbin said. "There's no, that I've been around in 31 years, great schemes that don't involve offensive linemen and tight ends blocking people. So certainly I think he's a guy that's demonstrated success, but you still have to block in this game. It's still a fundamental game."

Moreno was brought in to compete with Lamar Miller for the starting running back position but injuries have derailed those plans. It is expected that Moreno will be third down back in passing situations and also someone who can catch the ball out of the backfield several times throughout the game. If he's n
