When the Dolphins first signed Knowshon Moreno, experts expected him to compete for the starting job. Moreno then came to camp overweight and had a nagging injury that was keeping him from practicing.
After the first two preseason games, it was believed that Miller would be the starter and Moreno would be the third down back. While it was only one game, Moreno played well enough last night where he should get a chance at the starting job. On ten attempts last night, Moreno rushed for 64 yards. There was more than one occasion in which Moreno turned a negative play into a positive one.
