![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Koa Misi was supposed to be the quarterback of the defense after being moved to the middle linebacker position in the offseason. However, that went out the window when he was injured in week one against the New England Patriots. Since then, Jason Trusnik and Jelani Jenkins have filled in nicely for him and Misi had nothing but praise for Jenkins. “Oh, he stepped up big. He played like a vet, leading tackler, he was making a lot of plays. He’s a smart kid. He’s in his playbook. He definitely helped this team out.” Misi will return to the lineup on Sunday along with Reshad Jones, Mike Pouncey and perhaps Knowshon Moreno. He knows how much that can mean to a team. “It feels good. Reshad (Jones) is coming back, Dion (Jordan), we’ve got a couple more weeks with him. We’ve got a full team now, hopefully we can build off of that and get better as a team. Not saying that the guys that were in there didn’t do it because, like I said, they did a great job. We have more depth than we’ve had in the past.” Misi and the rest of the defense will have a tough matchup when they go against quarterback Aaron Rodgers but says they are ready for him and have been studying his tendencies and what he likes to do. “He’s a great quarterback in this league, smart guy, can extend plays out of the pocket. It’s just something that we’ve got to practice during the week. It’s definitely going to be a ball game. He can extend plays out of the pocket, so for sure, yeah, you’ve got to keep him in the pocket. But he can make plays in the pocket too.” With Misi, Jenkins and an improved Philip Wheeler, the Dolphins players, coaches and fans have to be a bit more confident heading into Sunday’s showdown with the Green Bay Packers.
