According to various media reports, La'El Collins has signed with the Dallas Cowboys. This news breaks less than an hour after it was reported that Collins was on his way to Miami with his agent.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the three year deal is worth $1.7 million dollars and is fully guaranteed. In addition, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Cowboys are giving Collins a signing bonus that consists of all the money left in their undrafted free agent pool. It is not known exactly how much this is. The Dolphins were considered front runners in the chase but it is quite apparent that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys pulled out all the stops. In what was once considered a dream, the Dolphins will now need to move on and begin preparing for the 2015 season while trying to figure out what to do with the left side of their line.
