![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Lamar Miller finally saw this game against the Kansas City Chiefs as an opportunity to prove that he can handle the workload of the running back position. He did just that as he rushed for 108 yards on 15 carries, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. His longest run of the day was 24 yards. For whatever reason though, the coaching staff didn’t feed him the ball and instead, had Ryan Tannehill drop back 43 times. Despite the lack of touches Miller received after proving he can run through the Chiefs defense, he was still happy about his performance. “It’s a good feeling, but you know, I still got a lot of room for improvement. I give a credit to the offensive line; they’ve been doing a great job throughout this whole season so far, so I give a credit to them. They’ve just been doing their assignments, what the coaches have been telling them the whole week, and I was just feeding off them.” Miller did say that he was disappointed in the result of the game but didn’t have any specific ideas on how to get better. “I’m very disappointed, I think we got to improve in all three phases, we got to start faster and got to score points a little faster. We need to put points on the scoreboard, just keep the chain moving for the most part. We had a lot of energy on offense, but we just got to find a way to make plays, just put points on the scoreboard.” We’ll see if Miller can run through the Oakland Raiders defense on Sunday and if he does, we’ll see if the coaching staff realizes that it’s probably a good idea to feed him the ball.
