Bobby McCain wins the team’s Ed Block Courage Award and is only the 4th safety to earn the honor in MIA history. Yeremiah Bell, Liffort Hobley and Glenn Blackwood. McCain injured his shoulder in 2019 and he returned in 2020 to play all 16 games, starting in 15. A defensive captain, McCain was an anchor of the NFL's leader in takeaways (29) and 3rd-down defense (31.2%) while finishing 6th in scoring defense (21.1 ppg). Each year, all 32 teams select a player to receive the Ed Block Courage Award. The recipient symbolizes professionalism, great strength and dedication. The honoree also is a community role model. Bobby McCain exemplifies all these things. At 10-6, it was a terrific season for these Miami Dolphins, who are young enough overall to be building a long-term success story. Thank you for a great season.
