So how cool is this? After weeks of speculation and a supposedly leaked photo of an orange uniform earlier this week, the Miami Dolphins unveiled their alternate uniform for this season. And they won’t be orange. At a press conference announcing the Dolphins 50th season, they announced that for their Week 14 game, a Monday Night Football home game against the New York Football Giants, the team will wear exact replicas of the original uniforms from their inaugural 1966 season.
Below are some pictures from the unveiling. We had Luis Sung (@FLSportDebater) and Pablo Gomez (@PabloGRadio) covering the event so we will have even more coverage and details coming up on the site throughout the remainder of the weekend. Also, we were able to get an exclusive interview with Don Shula, Sam Madison, Nat Moore and others. Those stories will be up on the site on Monday morning!
Pictured here are uniforms from the 1966 season. The alternate uniforms will be an exact replica of these. To the left is Rick Norton (#11) and to the right (#50) is Frank Emanuel.
