According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Miami Dolphins have claimed cornerback Sammy Seamster. Since he was claimed off waivers, he will be on the active roster and will fill one of the 53 spots on the team. Because of this, the Dolphins will have to release a player, which will likely be either Don Jones or Michael Thomas.
Seamster was signed by the Ravens as a rookie free agent back out of Middle Tennessee State back in May. In college, he appeared in 44 career games and recorded 69 tackles and 1 interception. Seamster has also played safety in his career and was likely claimed by the Dolphins due to his versatility.
