Earlier today, the Dolphins held their annual Kickoff Luncheon with over 150 fans and all the players. The fans in attendance were seated at various tables along with one or more Dolphins players and/or coaches. They heard from the likes of Tom Garfinkel, Dennis Hickey, Joe Philbin, Ryan Tannehill, Cameron Wake and others.
“I see this as a great opportunity seeing all the great Dophins fans representing our colors wearing our colors to have an opportunity to sit and get to know our players,” Hickey said. “You’re going to get a glimpse of what we see very day. Obviously, they’re quality players, but they’re quality people that we see every day and we’re so proud to have on our team.”
Philbin gave fans of glimmer of hope and optimism heading into the regular season.
“We’ve got the best roster that we’ve had in the three years that we’ve been here,” he said. “And most of all we’ve got people that care about football, that care about one another and want to make a difference. That’s why I’m so optimistic about the 2014 season. We need each and every one of you to make Sun Life Stadium a decided home-field advantage for our football team. You guys are a big part of it, a big part of what we do.”
