![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs For the first time this season, the Miami Dolphins roster will be close to 100% as they are getting back the vast majority of their starters and suspended players. The only question marks as we head into Sunday is whether or not Knowshon Moreno, Brandon Gibson and Cortland Finnegan will play. Joe Philbin recognizes this and he’s excited about the possibility. “It appears that was so far. We haven’t gotten through the whole practice week, but we’ve got some guys back that are working on the field. That’s always a positive sign. Hopefully, we’ll see what their availability is as we continue with the practice week. We certainly seem to be healthier than we’ve been.” With all these players coming back, especially on defense, the Dolphins can do a lot more with various packages and schemes while moving guys around to get the best possible match-ups. Philbin said that this is important and will tremendously help the Dolphins out. “It’s important as we get ready to play this game, we are playing one of the top if not the top quarterbacks (Aaron Rodgers) in the National Football League. He’s got some good weapons at his disposal. He’s got experience, so we are certainly going to be entirely as a defensive unit, it’s going to be important for us to play well as a unit. Having Randy Starks back potentially, having Koa Misi back potentially and having (Reshad) Jones (back), there’s strength down the middle that you like, guys that have experience, guys that have played in some big games, so I think that’s a positive that all three of those guys will come in potentially going to be ready.” One of the key players of the defense is Brent Grimes and he will have a huge role on Sunday. At any point during the game, he can be covering Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson or Jarret Boykin and will have his hands full. Fortunately, Philbin has a ton of confidence in him. “I think he’s been good. I commented to the team, on the last play of practice just three minutes ago, he dove, broke up a pass and went flying through the air, extended his body and knocked the ball down. That type of effort on the practice field is going to translate we feel like on a consistent basis to Sunday. I think he’s done well. There’s always room for improvement, but I like how he’s played so far.” We’ll see how much of an impact these guys can make on Sunday but my money is on them making a big one and helping the Dolphins get one step closer to a victory.
