![]() Written by Matthew Cannata The Miami Dolphins opened up training camp on Friday, July 25 and although it’s the very first practice, it’s interesting to note what offensive line they had out there. On the left side, they had Branden Albert at tackle and Daryn Colledge at guard. Shelley Smith was manning the middle while Dallas Thomas was at right guard and Ja’Wuan James was at right tackle. If this sticks moving forward, this more than likely means we will see a training camp battle between Colledge and Billy Turner. The Dolphins wouldn’t want two rookies starting next to each other on the right side, thus the reason for moving Thomas over there. If Turner wins the job, he would be paired next to Branden Albert. Smith at center makes a ton of sense and is something we’ve been saying on here for quite some time. He is smart, athletic and can pull from either side. I would imagine that this is his job to lose at that position. We have a long way to go and we’ll see how this all shapes out but right now, this is what the Dolphins are rolling with.
