The Miami Dolphins were on the clock in the second round when the Philadelphia Eagles came calling. Now, the Dolphins have traded down five spots to 20th pick in round two, which is the 52nd overall. In addition to that, the Dolphins also received two fifth round picks from the Eagles - 145 and 156 overall. The Dolphins also gave up their sixth round pick, which is 191 overall.
This trade was likely made possible because of the way the board fell in the second round, with three linebackers coming off the board in consecutive order. It's unknown if the Dolphins were targeting any of those players or if the player they covet is still on the board. We'll be back with another update once the Dolphins make their pick in the second round.
