![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Michael Thomas was just a guy who was signed off the San Francisco 49ers practice squad just days before the Miami Dolphins took on the New England Patriots in one of the most important games of the year. No one really knew who he was and no one really expected him to make any type of impact. But when injuries brought down player after player in the secondary, Thomas was called upon to enter the game while Tom Brady was driving down the field in the final seconds of the game. In the end, Thomas broke up two passes and intercepted the third one to seal the victory for the Dolphins. “I’m reminded about it every day by the fans,” Thomas told Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. “It was a great memory, but I want to build on it now. It’s not a Cinderella story anymore. I’ve had time to actually work with the team, prepare, so anytime I go out there with my team, I’m expecting to make a play. We’re expecting to make a play.”
