![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManicas When Mike Pouncey underwent surgery back in May, many had expected him to miss 4-8 weeks of the regular season. With only two weeks into the season, Pouncey is already back at practice and was a full participant on Tuesday. Although Pouncey said he felt great and like he could play on Sunday, head coach Joe Philbin was much more cautious with the timetable for Pouncey’s return. “It was good to have him out there. He did some things and got up in his stance a couple of times, came off the ball a couple of times on the snap count. So it was good to have him back.” We’re going to have to take it a day at a time. It was his first day out there and he looked good in what he was doing. We’ll see.” The Dolphins do not release official injury reports on Tuesday so we can’t tell right now what the team views his status as. Samson Satele has done a serviceable job in his place but there are rumblings that when Pouncey returns to the center position, the Dolphins may consider moving Satele to guard. One other wildcard scenario is to keep Satele at center and move Pouncey to guard, where many fans and media think he would excel in. However, that scenario is not likely but the coaching staff has said that they want to get their best five lineman on the field.
