![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Mike Pouncey is rehabbing his surgically repaired hip and has been ahead of schedule for the past several weeks. Pouncey has made so much progress during training camp that the Dolphins decided to give him a spot on the 53-man roster instead of placing him on the physically unable to perform list. Had they done that, he would have missed the first six weeks of the season. However, despite the progress he's made, he's still not able to practice with the team. "I feel great," Pouncey told the Sun-Sentinel. "Right now I'm just following the plan of our head coach and our trainers….they are getting me back as soon as possible. There is no timetable right now. They believe in me that I'm going to be back, they gave me an opportunity, and I'm going to take full advantage" Samson Satele will fill in for Pouncey for the time that he's gone. While Satele is an average center and is someone who can get the job done, the offensive line will be greatly improved once Pouncey returns.
