![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Mike Pouncey is getting closer and closer to a return to the starting lineup but Joe Philbin stated that he still isn’t sure if he will be able to play on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders in London. While Pouncey would love to play and initially set the London game as the game he would get back on the field, he needs to prove he can do various things this week to prove he’s ready to go. “Whenever we feel confident enough and whenever medically we feel he’s ready and he’s got enough practice, enough reps and he looks good enough,” Philbin said. “There’s a variety of factors, he’s in good enough physical condition. All those things are going to play a part. He’s making good progress and it’s great to have him out on the field. We’re working with it day by day. I think we have to get a gauge of when he’s ready to go and how much he’s ready for. I really don’t have the answer right now. It’s a good question.” If Pouncey can return, it will help beef up a struggling offensive line in pass protection, which is something the Dolphins desperately need so they can get the offense moving at a more efficient pace.
